Scheduled Calls
A scheduled call program helps your supporters schedule calls at a convenient time, with available Team Members. These calls can be offered to supporters for a variety of reasons, from onboarding them into the organization, to getting them activated with a particular campaign. A scheduled call program serves a secondary purpose of helping your Team Members develop their leadership and organizing abilities.
It's the responsibility of the Team Member to initiate the call. Team Members with permission to do scheduled calls can set their availability via the Call Availability section of the mobile app. It's important that all scheduled calls (except those designed with a Zoom scheduled call page) be completed with the mobile app or dashboard for accountability purposes.
Organizations can use the series of tools in this section to run an effective scheduled call program that keeps your Team Members accountable. You can view these tools from the Schedule Calls section under the "Voice" tab. These work in tandem with the Schedule A Call Page, which is described elsewhere in the documentation. There, you can read about automated reminders, team member assignment, call scripts, and all other aspects that are determined at the page-level.
Zoom Integration
Scheduled calls can use Zoom for video calls instead of phone calls. When Zoom is enabled:
- Automatic meeting creation - When a supporter schedules a call, the system creates a Zoom meeting using the assigned Team Member's connected Zoom account
- Meeting links - The Zoom link is included in reminder emails and texts to both parties
To use Zoom for scheduled calls:
- Team Members connect their individual Zoom accounts via Call Availability settings
- Set the contact method to "Zoom" on your Schedule A Call page
Tip: Zoom calls work well for onboarding conversations where screen sharing helps. Phone calls are better for quick check-ins.
