Shortlinks
Create custom short URLs with QR codes
Shortlinks let you create custom, memorable URLs that redirect to any destination. Each shortlink includes an automatically generated QR code you can use in print materials.
Creating a Shortlink
From your website's main page, scroll to the Shortlinks section and click Add Shortlink.
Domain: Choose where the shortlink will live:
- Your custom domain (if verified)
- Your website's default subdomain
sldr.it- a global short domain available to all organizations
Slug: The path after /s/. Only letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores allowed. For example, a slug of donate-now creates a URL like https://yourdomain.com/s/donate-now.
Destination URL: The full URL where visitors will be redirected.
QR Codes
Each shortlink automatically generates a QR code. Click the QR icon in the shortlinks table to view and download it.
QR codes include your website's logo in the center (if you have one set in your navigation bar or chapter/org settings). They're sized for print and include a utm_source=qr parameter so you can track visits from printed materials.
Tracking Visits
The shortlinks table shows a visit count for each link. This tracks total redirects—useful for measuring engagement on print campaigns, social posts, or anywhere you share the link.
Editing and Deleting
Click the edit icon to change the destination URL. Click delete to remove a shortlink (the URL will stop working immediately).
Tip: Use shortlinks for QR codes on flyers, business cards, or signage. The short URL is easier to type if someone can't scan the code.
